Attention Outdoor Clubs and Organizations,
The Lehigh Valley Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza staff is cordially inviting you to attend The Lehigh Valley Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza on June 22, 23, and 24th at the Kempton Fairgrounds. This show will be the first of its kind. With the youth hunter and fishers on the steady decline, we must do something to promote a new interest in our sport. There is no better way to get kids interested then by getting them involved. Lets get a youth to shoot a bow and experience the "mystical flight of the arrow" (as Nugent says) for the first time. Lets get together and watch the excitement as a "greeny" sees a clay pigeon break in front of him. We need to get new people involved, especially the youth. So, Rick Weaknecht (of Weaknecht Archery) and Bob Danenhower are organizing this new event. To get our follow outdoorsmen together and to get youth involved. With the closing of the "Allentown Sports Show," we need this show more then ever. With the numbers of hunters declining, we need this show more then ever. With the number of youth involved in hunting and fishing, we need this show more then ever.

So, what do we want from the gun clubs and hunting/fishing organizations? Money? NO. A request of a big check for sponsorship? NO. All this new show is asking is for one weekend, for you to bring your passion and your expertise of your favorite sport to our show. We are looking for clubs and organizations to set up a booth, and promote the sport and tradition that has made us who we are today. We are asking clubs/organizations to set up a booth that will allow our youth and our fellow outdoorsmen to participate in shooting and fishing activities while attending the Lehigh Valley Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza. Bring some shotguns, and let them shoot clay birds. Bring some BB guns, and let them experience the skill of marksmanship. Bring 22s, fly-fishing tying gear, tomahawk throwing, you name it.

I know what you are thinking, I can get some volunteers. I can get the gear, but this sounds expensive. Bottom line, set-up and booth space is free for participating clubs and organizations. The Lehigh Valley Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza is pushing for participation. We want you to get involved, we want new people to try our sport, we want the youth to have fun. So, we are inviting all clubs/organizations to come for free, as long as they are being active at the show. Promote our sport, promote your club/organization. You can charge accordingly, regarding the cost of the activity. This will be a great weekend for people and youth interested in our sport, active members of our sport, and you (the active clubs in our sport), if we can all get together and promote the sport that we have grown to love. We look forward to your help and excitement at this new show in our area.
